We Will Rebuild. Bigger. Faster. Stronger.I am pleased to announce that signup is now available. You can create your own account and mini-profile thus far. Signing up also allows you to contribute to the feature request page if there are particular features you feel are important for the site when it is completed. You can manage your user settings and view other members via the appropriate "Settings" and "Members" pages accessible at left. We will be hugely expanding the profile pages as soon as we have time, and hopefully some basic forums will be up in the next month or month and a half.
Next week I will be out of the country visiting Poland and Prague, so expect more updates after that, unless Midas is feeling ambitious while I'm gone. Sign up and help get things started!

Welcome to FilmChicago.orgWell folks, here is my first official post for you at filmchicago.org. My post today has been made possible by my good friend midas. All day today was spent getting this wonderful news system up and running. We are still working out a few bugs, but so far things are mostly functional. Over the next few months we will be updating the site with many functions and creating the most extensive online film community for filmmakers in Chicago and the midwest area. Expect many, many changes to come. Updates and new features will be announced on this page as they become readily available for public use. One of the upcoming features of most interest to you, the end user, will be a feature request forum. We will try to get this up as soon as possible so you can be involved in the creation of the site and in shaping its future.
So, what is FilmChicago.org, you ask? FilmChicago.org is, or will be, a community of filmmakers and film buffs from the Chicago/Midwest area who come to collaborate, find work and/or talent and crew, post upcoming, in production, and finished project information, and more. Some features already in mind are detailed user profiles -- allowing you to create your own online resume with bio, experience, headshots or other images and more; forums; tutorials; project listings; and possibly a video posting option in the future to showcase user films. Better yet, we are planning on providing these services to you for FREE! So come in, join the community and help us make this one of the best in the world.
