Privacy SettingsA small but valuable update has been made on the site today. In the "My Profile" section under "Password and Privacy," you can now update your privacy settings for email and real name.

Avatar Upload Bug FixedIf you have experienced trouble uploading images under the 2MB limit, it may have been due to a bug which was just fixed.
Images with dimensions over 5000px total (width + height) are too large to be handled by our server and are no longer allowed to be uploaded as avatars if the image resolutions exceed these dimensions, regardless of file size.

Celtx 1.0 is out!Greetings fellow filmmakers!
For those of you who have been hiding under a rock for the past four years and have never heard of it, Celtx is "the world's first all-in-one media pre-production software." Celtx can be used for all aspects of the pre-production process including script writing, storyboarding, character development, online collaboration, scheduling, breakdowns, cast and crew management and more.
On top of all that, Celtx is open source (i.e. FREE). It runs on Windows, OS X and Linux, and supports a broad range of languages.
I've used Final Draft and I've used Movie Magic Screenwriter, but I've also used Celtx for the past couple of years and I love using it. Pre-production is made much easier by having all your tools and information in one place, and the fact that I don't have to pay for it is even more fantastic. I also feel the screen writing features are as good, if not better, than competing commercial products.
Give it a test run. It's free and the download is a small 14.4MB. If you don't like it, you can uninstall it. Post your thoughts once you have given Celtx a test drive!

Iron ManI was a little hesitant to see Iron Man after the miserable failures of superhero movies such as Fantastic 4, Daredevil, Elektra, and others. Let's be honest, most of the recent superhero movies aside from Spiderman 1 & 2 have pretty much sucked and none have come close to the impressive legacy left by classic movies such as Superman and the Batman series.
My displeasure for those other superhero movies aside, I must say that Iron Man rocked. If I were giving out star points it would be 4.5 out of 5, and I would have to put it somewhere on the level of Batman Begins or even Superman. This is a superhero film that brings a classic comic book champion to the silver screen in all his shiny, red and gold metallic glory.
This film is a must see for the general public and comic fans alike. I will definitely be seeing this again and you should too!

Networking Features EnabledThe networking feature has now been enabled. You can add/remove users from your network. The user must approve your request before they will actually show up in your network.
There are still some minor items that need tweaking; however, the basic feature itself is functional. I will be working over the next few days to tweak the features that need it.
